starting to walk
Our little boy is growing up! :) He has started to walk. He's been getting his legs for the last couple of days, and tonight at the corniche he walked for a good bit all by himself! It was the sweetest thing to watch. At one point, he started swinging his arms back and forth as if to say, "ok, what's next!" :)
Here's a pic of him in the car and one of him standing while we were out tonight. He was watching some guys play cricket while we were in the car. I've noticed that he really takes to watching anything that has a ball. He LOVES balls and seems mesmerized whenever he sees them when were out.
I'm loving how he's changing. He now gets excited about the little rides at the park, loves to look at helicopters in the sky and makes such serious faces when he hears them. He says a few words now - "this", "that" and "burr" for bird. Sometimes I think I hear him repeating words I say, but I'm not sure.
He has such emotion and has even started to tell me when something hurts him and points to where it is. Everything is a little emergency with him and if he does something, he calls to me so that he can show me what happened or what he did. It's the sweetest thing. and wouldn't ya know it... this little one loves to help momma clean! He'll grab any cloth or piece of clothing around him and start wiping down the floor, chair, cabinet... :)
He's also starting to get very independent and boisterous. I got a little bit of footage w/ my camera of him walking the other morning... i'll try to put it on tomorrow.
His auntie bought the little crocs he has on today while we were out. He loves them. One of my gf's told me that he'd love crocs, but I thought for sure he was too young for them. I guess not.

I miss him so very much! He has grown up since being gone. Too cute for words... seriously, so very handsome. I want all of his kisses. Please give him some for me!

the other morning i took him to the school and this little girl came to the ofc. When he saw her, he started crawling as fast as he could in little circles and kept looking up to see if she was watching him!!

This little boy is so in style and already started flirting:)) mashallah, enjoy it, Um Naief.
You know reading ur posts about him makes me look at kids and their achievements differently. Simple things i never thought about seems such a big deal, ur blog is informative and educational i love reading it.
As for Eurovision see my blog:)
Where DOES the time go? What a little charmer! What can I say? He's the son of a poet and a musician!!!!!
Still, with tongue in cheek, I can't help but remember:
Mother of a small child: Oh, look, he's walking! Oh, look, he's talking! Oh, look, he's thinking and understanding! Oh, look...
Mother of a teenager: *SHRIEK!!!* WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BABY?!!??!!!!?
haha, great! but that just means he can walk himself into more trouble than before, so keep an eye out :)
Oh he's such a sweet and cute boyish boy!
I know I haven't met him in person, but do give him a lil kiss from me :)
Oh god he is soooo cute!!!
reminds me of my niece and nephew how much i love to be around them..
Wow, look at the little guy!
This is a fantastic age with so much going on. What next? Potty training?
My my MY, what a stylish little fellow! And he's walking too...aww too cute! He is getting big so fast, time just flies and his face gets more expressive and full of thought with each month that passes, and when you share the pics that you do.
My best friend had her baby back in February...yes, Kissy is FINALLY an Aunt, to a little bundle named Abigail. I have yet to see her, as I have been so busy with classes and moving but will be paying her a visit awfully soon. It's such a ride from Portland, Oregon to where they live on the coast and the back roads into the forest...a surreal experience in of itself.
Funny, in some ways I feel left out with everyone around me having babies all of a sudden, but am overjoyed at the same moment.
Keep writing, it is good to have you back! Come on by and say hello again when you get the chance!xoxox
God bless him ... keep him up and heavy as much as u can ... that's time you must thinking about ... How your little boy will be?! ...Good luck
All's you need now is eyes in the back of your head to watch him all the time lol.
Congrats Um Naief! Your son looks adorable. Thanks for sharing his first steps! I almost had a party when my daughter stared walking!!!

gazza, oops.. i thought your comment was from rock chef.. so that comment from me to rock chef was actually for you!! :)
oh my goodness!! he's just so precious! what an amazing little boy you have there. ;)
He looks so grown up! It seems like just the other day when you announced your pregnancy. He just keeps getting cuter and cuter!
Jane
He is one beautiful little boy!
[Please be very careful with him when he is wearing his crocs. Somewhere I read that kids are getting their feet caught in escalators and "moving sidewalks" with these shoes on. As cute and as comfy as they may be...]
