That's certainly a kinder, gentler, sweeter-sounding rendition than the original Tears for Fears version. It really takes the song to a whole different level!
Just in case, here is the original version of the song. I think I like the Adam Lambert version better.
moody, you're so right... and it is a lot better.
I do like his voice - it gave me goose bumps, actually - but I think he makes this song *too* sweet for my taste. I like the dark edge to the original.
bint battuta, it also gave me goosebumps... and there is an edge to the original - emotional and raw - i think. i like how he says the words in many parts, rather than sing them...
i didn't feel that raw emotion w/ adam lambert's version... but i love what he did with it.. it filled me with a bit of sadness... and i liked it. :)
Adam was/is my favorite idol...I so hoped he would win but actually think its better for his career that he did not. Now he is free to be true to himself.
gardens of sand, i agree! he was my favorite as well.. and i think he'll do better w/out winning.

Adam may not have won the competition, but he DID win, because more people are talking about him than they are about the other guy (Chris? I didn't really follow once the competition started, I enjoyed the awful auditions more!)
I'm good,jobs good,i hear theirs a new donnie darko film coming out about his sister.....watched the original about 6 times now and still cant get my head round that lol.
olivia, i love the auditions myself.. my favorite part, actually. i missed many shows, but did see a few and was always amazed at adam's voice.

i can't get my head around donny darko either. :) it's a strange one.. but i did love the music.
