and this is what came out of it.
It's simple... but it's the first time, since Naief was born, that I've been able to put my feelings into actual words and onto paper....
so thought I'd share. :)
MY LITTLE BOY
Sparkling, ever so brightly
deep into my soul
Beautiful,
chocolate brown eyes
Convey innocence, so lovely
So pure
Your giggles, your squeals
The smile that turns my
darkness
upside down
Just delighted
by the being
of you
As the gentleness
of your tiny fingers
quietly discover your world
I am
Christened by the heavens
Cleansed by your love
You,
a ray of sunshine
with every new morn’
A precious gift
My life, my love,
My little boy

I think that pretty much covers it!
Wow, that is so sweet! You should do more! You could be famous.
That's lovely and gentle. The relationship between you two is gorgeous. Wait until he's a teenager ha ha!

wendy, ahhh :) we have our days... and yes, i can only imagine what it'll be like when he's a teenager! :) altho, hubby says that boys are harder when they're young and easier when they're older... whereas girls are more difficult when they're older. so we shall see... what do you think??
chief rock chef, you're nice... but i know i'll never make a living from writing! especially poetry!! :) but thanks!
moody, this morning i looked at his little picture on the fridge from when he was two months old.. and i had the same comment inside as you made here. :)
Wonderful, the early years are the best,my young Catherine is coming home for the weekend from uni saying i may not like her hair as its black and red!
It's so great that you penned a verse for your son. Good timing in that Thursday was National Poetry Day in the UK ;)
