Leavin' on a jet plane....

Well, it's 6:30 a.m. and I've been up for a while - can't sleep. Thoughts are pounding away inside my head - always my best friend reminding me of what I need to do. We leave tonight (midnight) for the airport for our trip to the U.S. I keep feeling like I should be more excited - I am excited - but I tend to worry about stupid things which is usually warranted cuz I tend to always forget something when traveling.

We packed our bags a few days ago.... just in case, and you'd think that would help ease my mind, but it doesn't help.

My biggest worry seems to be over the cats. You'd think I gave birth to these kitties w/ the way I worry about them but, nope, I didn't! ;) I guess I worry a lot because it seems like every time we leave and come back one of the cats gets sick and then passes away or something bad happens. This has happened three times..... I really don't want it to happen again. Most of the cats will be fine but I worry about our oldest kitties. Puss, in particular, I worry about. She's so spoiled to me.... but so are most of them! ;) aaahhhh.... gosh, I can only imagine what it would be like to have a child.

I had a nightmare the other night that our birds died. It was horrible... I went to check on them and they were all dead at the bottom of their cages. Stress dreams, stress dreams. My mother-in-law suggested that we take two of our birds to their house to keep their bird company. They have a male parakeet that's the same as ours. He's visiting at our house right now, matter of fact. He's such a cute little thing... scared all the time though. I would do this - take our birds there - but our little nephew likes to go over to the bird's cages and hit them w/ his walker thingy and then grab onto the cages w/ his tiny little fingers and I think our birds might have a heart attack or something if he did that... and then what if Stedman (the male) bit him or something... gosh, he could take his little finger off! Can you imagine... I can! so.... both me and hubby think it best to NOT take the birds there. Even tho I'm sure little Greeny (what I call their bird) would love the company.

A song keeps coming to mind.....

I'm leavin' on a jet plane
don't know when I'll be back again
oh babe, I hate to go.....

My bags are packed,
I'm ready to go,
the taxi's waiting,
he's blowing his horn

and you guys can sing the rest.......
